Why it fits a classroom
Runs on the iPads you have
Universal app for iPad and iPhone, iOS/iPadOS 17 and later. No special hardware, no lab setup.
No student accounts
There is nothing to sign up for and no login. Students open the app and start building.
No student data collected
MiniBench works offline and keeps projects on the device (or the student’s own iCloud). Student work never leaves the iPad through us.
One tap to Minecraft
Students export a validated .mcpack and open it straight in Minecraft Bedrock — no cables, no desktop, no file transfer step.
Ready-made lessons
66 step-by-step guides, free, no sign-in
Each guide is a screenshot-led sequence of real taps. Map them to your learning goals, or hand them to students to work through at their own pace.

A natural progression
The library is built to move students from one command to a whole project.
Beginner
Single commands and one-file packs. Students see a result in Minecraft on day one — /fill a floor, /give an item, /tp a player.
Intermediate
Functions, target selectors, and coordinates. Students start writing reusable logic and targeting exactly who and what they mean.
Projects
Whole builds: a coin minigame, a PvP or mob arena, a parkour course. Students combine everything into something they can share and play.
For educators, in short
What does it cost?
The core editor is free with no account. An optional Pro subscription unlocks the visual builders and unlimited projects; the free core is plenty for a classroom writing commands and functions.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
No. MiniBench works entirely offline, which is ideal for classrooms with limited or filtered networks.
Java or Bedrock?
Bedrock Edition. MiniBench authors .mcfunction files and packages them as .mcpack, the Bedrock content-pack format.
What does a student produce?
A .mcpack file — a real, valid Minecraft pack the student can open in Bedrock, keep, or share, the same format used by the wider Minecraft community.
